Mother's Day

My neighbors asked me to make them cupcakes they found in Women's World magazine for Mother's Day-- a cupcake bouquet of flowers!

To make them you cut a small marshmallow on the diagnol to make a petal like shape. The inside or sticky part of the marshmallow is then dipped in colored sugar and then placed on the cupcake.

Night Fury Toothless

This one was created for a young man named Tyler-- who recently saw the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie. I am really happy with how it turned out!

Logan Lampitt's First Birthday

This was Logan's smaller "smasher" cake. However he was not very eager to smash his face into it... I believe he wanted a fork instead!

These were the party favors. A Rice Crispie treat Mickey dipped in chocolate with sprinkles.

This was the main cake for the guests. Vanilla cake with bavarian creme filling.

The Bernaldo's Cakes

Lauren and Matt Bernaldo recruited me to make their children's birthday cakes this year and I couldn't have been happier to do it. Mainly because they always give me a challenge!

This one was for Colton-- a lego stormtrooper.

Kiernan's Cake-- a shaggy dog.

And Kaelyn's Pink Cowgirl boot. She had a cowgirl tea party birthday-- too cute!

Some of my first cakes....

This one is red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Fresh raspberries adorn the outside. Very yummy.

This one I made for my husband's fantasy football draft. I couldn't get the icing completely brown because I couldn't make chocolate buttercream because of one person's cocoa allergy. But it was still very delicious.

This was my first attempt at fondant. The border was a little boring but it was for one of the Wilton class... and the teacher rushed us a little.
